![]() I told my wife how bad I felt for the spa and hotel workers because their treatment towards the property and staff was appalling from what we observed. I used to LOVE booking a spa treatment/massage with my wife each and every time we visited the area, and over this past Easter weekend we were eager to visit again! Well let me tell you, the prices have gone UP since we started patronizing their establishment but the quality of service and amenities has tanked miserably! The amenities such as the pool and gym were completely taken over by a large group that was rude and disgusting. I can not say enough about the village of Manchester as a wonderful destination, and the Equinox in particular, as a top notch resort in character, amenities, beauty, and hospitality. The service continued from there, including being offered the most delicious and healthy tea while waiting for my daughter,and simply being in a gorgeous peaceful environment where everyone smiles. It felt like a throwback to a time of more grace and care. As we were leaving the property in our car to enjoy the beautiful town before the one treatment, the phone rang and Kayla from the front desk had taken it upon herself to call around town an find us the mani/pedi!!! She truly saved the day. As expected, there were no available appointments. Mind you- this is one of the most beautiful, peaceful, accommodating places we have ever visited and we did not expect to be able to be served at the last minute. We were having a hard time getting scheduled at the last minute. Her manicure and pedicure and other needed services felt a bit urgent. Specifically, my daughter was returning home after the Thanksgiving holiday to attend her high school Semi Formal. First time was on 3/4 via email and he contacted me right away so I described to him my issue as I just did above. I also contacted the General Manger of The Equinox (*********************) on numerous occasions asking for his assistance in resolving this matter. The manager indicated that my credit card would be credited back the full amount.I have checked every week for the past month and a half and have not received my funds back to my Amex still. When I called the hotel back, they said the entire charge was being investigated and that no credit to my card was applied.When I called back again to find out what was going on the hotel manager indicated that a guest in Room 344 billed their breakfast to my room by mistake (we stayed in Room 334). I also asked for a revised statement before I departed.On the way home I reviewed the new **** again, there was still a service charge of $21.60 on the printed ****. When I pointed this out to the Front Desk, they indicated it would be removed and my card would be credited back in a few business days. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel that morning as we were at Bromley Mountain skiing. Upon inspection of the ****, I noticed that there was an erroneous breakfast charge of $145.40 on 2/19. Upon checkout on the 21st I asked for a printed statement of my **** for review prior to checkout but the attendant at the Front Desk charged my card and gave me a printout. My family and I stayed for 3 nights at The Equinox from 2/18 - 2/21.
